These pictures were taken at a large family get together. My husband's grandmother, Susan, and I have talked for several years about needing to get a family picture with all of her grandkids. They have some snapshots from when the kids were little, but no one has any recent pictures of all of them together. So we started planning and scheming to get everyone in one place for some canvas worthy prints.
After much calendar checking and wardrobe consulting, we finally picked a date that almost everyone could make. Susan also decided that in addition to all of her grandchildren, it would be nice to see her brother and sister and their kids and grandchildren. A small family reunion was born.
So that being said, there is a large mix of group, whole family, and small family pictures within this post. I had such a good time capturing these moments for his grandmother and I hope that they are something that we will all treasure in the future.

Emma & Ella {3 Month Old Twin Portraits}
You might remember Emma and Ella from their newborn session that we did here. Their mom, Lacey, called me when they turned 3 months because she wanted to get some photos of the girls in their baptism dresses.
I don't know if you have ever really tried to play around with a three month old baby, but it is not the easiest time in their life. They are old enough to want to be awake for long periods of time and want to be "entertained," but they are not old enough to really sit up or push themselves up for very long. This means that you have a baby that is fairly aware that you, a stranger, are moving her around and making her lay in a certain way that might not be on her agenda. And in our case, this issue was compounded by two.
The session went wonderfully. Maybe it is because their mom is a rockstar and has them on a tight schedule or maybe they just wanted to appear angelic in their baptism dresses, but these two girls rocked their session. They let us lay them together, arrange their dresses, and then they fell asleep. Cha-Ching! I think we may have hit the jackpot with these two! :)
